Summary Thene arrives in Olympus with the Deviants, causing a commotion. In the Andes Dr. Damain ponders what Arishem is thinking, Ajak comforts him. Zuras starts to form the Uni-Mind and the Eternals, plus Holden and Margo, merge and the Uni-Mind rises into orbit, trying to probe the Celestial's mothership to learn more.

Summary The Deviants launch a mighty Energy-Bomb against the Celestial's ship. An American shuttle is also launched to investigate it. Watching events from afar Sprite sees the bomb and runs to the imprisoned Forgotten One, as the only Eternal left to help. He creates a craft and he goes to stop the bomb. All three spacecraft approach the Celestial ship at once. The One Above All understands each ship's mission and transfers the crews. The American astronauts fly the Deviants ship home, the Deviants crash the shuttle and the Forgotten One destroys the Deviant's bomb, his near-lifeless form being taken aboard the Celestial's ship afterwards.

Issue 14 Ikaris and the Cosmic-Powered Hulk 17 : 1/4

Summary Two students build a Hulk android, which proves unstable. Meanwhile the Uni-Mind descends to earth, sending waves of cosmic energy across the earth. The Hulk robot absorbs the cosmic energy and begins to change. The Uni-Mind disassembles and the Eternals reappear. Margo is shaken and Sersi suggests they return to New York for rest and recreation. The Hulk robot begins to go on the rampage. The Eternals arrive in New York and give battle.
Comments The low point of the series as Hulk is introduced to try and boost sales.

Summary Zuras drains the cosmic power from the Hulk android and it leaps away, leaking energy. It hides underground, setting fire to a gas main and causing an explosion which destroys it. Investigating the hole it has left, Ikaris is suddenly pulled underground. Mekarri follows and discovers the ancient ruins of a tomb, now open. He is surprised and overpowered by Dromedan. Zuras snuffs out the fire and also investigates the hole, finding his fears confirmed: the tomb of Dromedan is empty. Meanwhile Dromedan forces Ikaris and Mekari to fight each other. Zuras arrives and dispels Dromedan's mind control and faces him with the Neutralizer helmet used to control him before.
Comments Dromedan original imprisionment by the Deviants depicted in Thor Annual #7.

Issue 17 Sersi the Terrible 17 : 4/4

Summary Zuras resists Dromedan's mind control but is left weakened. Ikaris and Mekarri occupy Dromedan long enough for Zura's strength to return and he causes the ground around Dromedan to encase him. Once again tries to put the Neutralizer helmet on but is beaten back by a mind attack. Dromedan forces Mekarri to free him. Suddenly Sersi attacks using her illusions. Dromedan is unimpressed. Sersi hatches a plan and attacks again with five versions of Ikaris. Dromedan dispatches each in turn, believing the last one to be real. As he does so the real Ikaris appears and destroys him with a disintegration beam, bringing down the cavern. Meanwhile in the arctic, Druig forces Sigmar to reveal the existence of a secret weapon.

Summary Druig forces Sigmar to tell all he knows about a Celestial weapon which has been hidden away, its whereabouts know only by Ikaris. He believes it can destroy the approaching Ziran. While filming an Celestial, Ikaris is captured and transported to Druig's laboratory by a dimension cloud. A Celestial is approaching his fortress and he plans to use the Celestial weapon to destroy it. The location of the weapon is forced out of Ikaris by the Neural Beast: the Pyramid of the Winds.

Summary Imprisoning Ikaris and trusting him to Sigmar, Druig sets out to retrieve the weapon. He makes his way to the Pryamid of the Winds and discovers the Celestial's weapon. Meanwhile Ikaris escapes and Sigmar submits to him. They arrive at the Pyramid and Ikaris attacks Druig, who attempts to use the weapon. Ikaris fires his disintegration beams at the gun, unleashing its power. Druig disappears and Sigmar and Ikaris escape the expanding ball of energy. Ziran appears and neutralises the energy and they realise he could not have been destroyed by the weapon.
Comments Last issue of Kirby's original run of The Eternals. Events continue is The Mighty Thor issue #283.
